James Second in Triple Jump at Penn Relays

PHILADEPHIA - Senior Tahari James finished second in the triple jump championship at the Penn Relays, highlighting action for the Boston University women's outdoor track and field team on Friday, the second day of action at Franklin Field. The Terriers' 4x100m relay team finished sixth in the ECAC championship flight.

James recorded a mark of 13.18m in the triple jump championship flight to finish second. Junior Whitney Ford competed in the college flight and came in 14th with a mark of 11.70m. Both James and Ford have already qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the triple jump.

The 4x100m relay team of James, Ford, sophomore Laura Martin and freshman Shelby Walton finished sixth in the ECAC championship race, posting a time of 46.52.

The Terriers also competed in the 4x200m relay, clocking a time of 1:39.52 to finish 34th in the event.

Next up for the Terriers is the Brown Invitational on Sunday (April 26) in Providence, R.I.
