
Men's Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision against NJIT

BOSTON - The Boston University men's tennis team fell, 5-2, against the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon at the Track and Tennis Center. Seniors Miron Nissim, Tim Sichler and Charles Weinstein each played their final home match and will have two more road contests remaining before the America East tournament.
Losing all three doubles matches and four of the six singles contests, the Terriers drop to 2-14, while the Highlanders improve to 10-5.
In singles action, junior Jeff Chudacoff earned a point at No. 1 with a 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(5) victory over Carl Lundquist. Weinstein provided the other point with an easy 6-4, 6-2 decision over Cosmin Chiujdea at No. 3.
During doubles, Chudacoff/Weinstein came close to preventing a sweep but dropped the tiebreaker in the 9-8(7) loss to Lundquist/Chiujdea.
The Terriers next visit Connecticut on Thursday (April 9) for a 3 p.m. start time.
