After earning All-America honors in the triple jump for the third time in her career, senior Tahari James has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
James finished seventh in the nation at the NCAA outdoor championships with a jump of 13.28m in the finals on Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark. The Branford, Conn., native was previously named an All-American in the event in both the indoor and outdoor seasons last year.
James is the first Terrier to earn three career All-American accolades since 1995 and graduates from BU as the holder of the school long jump and triple jump records both indoors and outdoors.
She will compete in the triple jump at the USATF National Championship on June 26 in Eugene, Ore.
