EUGENE, Ore. - Boston University senior Tahari James tied for ninth in the triple jump at the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships on Friday at Hayward Field. James recorded a mark of 13.15m.
Shakeema Welsch won the event with a mark of 14.30m. James was an All-American in the triple jump in each of her last three seasons of competition, capturing the accolades outdoors twice and indoors once.
Freshman Katie Matthews is in action at the USATF championships on Saturday, competing in the junior women's 5,000m run at 9:35 p.m. Eastern.
