BOSTON - The 14th-ranked Boston University men's soccer team's Hrafn Davidsson was named to Soccer America's Team of the Week, the publication announced Tuesday. The senior keeper is off to a strong start this year, helping the Terriers begin the young season 2-0-1 by allowing just one goal in 290 minutes of action.
Davidsson recorded six saves against UMass during the 1-1 draw and then help BU shut out then-No. 12 UConn, 3-0, for the second consecutive season with another six-save performance. On Monday, he only needed two saves to earn his 16th career shutout.
Davidsson and the Terriers will next face Harvard on Friday (Sept. 11) at 4 p.m.
