
Terrier Men Compete at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON - The Boston University men's track and field team had a number of strong performances as it hosted the Terrier Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
Joel Senick had one of the best finishes amongst BU runners in the meet, recording the fourth-fastest time amongst collegiate runners in the 400m dash with a 48.48 mark. Michael Zimmerman crossed the line in ninth place in the 500m dash with a time of 1:06.14, while Craig MacPherson's time of 4:08.61 in the mile was the third-fastest by a collegiate runner. R.J Page posted a time of 21.99 in the 200m dash, good for sixth amongst collegiate competitors.
James Weider posted a time of 2:29.22in the 1,000m run, good for eighth overall, while Robert Gibson notched the third-fastest time amongst collegiate runners and fifth fastest overall in the 3,000m with a mark of 8:09.61. In the field events, Jan Bicanic and Dan Withrow led the way in the shot put with throws of 15.85m and 14.92 to place seventh and ninth, respectively.
The Terriers are back in action next weekend at the Battle of Beantown meet, hosted by Harvard University on Saturday, Feb. 6.
