Moore Second in Pole Vault at Valentine Invitational

BOSTON - Junior Logan Moore finished second in the pole vault to highlight action by the Boston University men's indoor track and field team at the BU Valentine Invitational, held Saturday at the BU Track and Tennis Center. The Terriers' 4x400-meter relay team notched a third-place finish at the meet.
Moore cleared 4.80m, an IC4A Championship qualifying mark, to finish as the runner-up in the pole vault.
BU's top 4x400m relay team was third with a time of 3:13.82, while the Terriers' B team finished 19th in 3:20.68.
In the distance races, sophomore Balint Horvath (1:51.64) and senior Jeff Moreau (1:52.48) finished eighth and ninth, respectively, with IC4A qualifying times in the 800m run. Sophomore Billy Whelan was 47th in the event with a 1:56.29.
In the mile run, junior Ken Haltom notched an IC4A-qualifying 4:11.25 that was good for 22nd place.
Junior Dan Withrow posted a ninth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 15.15m.
The Terriers are back in action next weekend, hosting the America East Championships on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 19-20) at the Track and Tennis Center.
