
Men's Track and Field Finishes Fifth at AE Championships

BOSTON - The Boston University men's indoor track and field team placed fifth - up three slots from day one - with 88 points at the 2010 America East Track and Field Championship at BU's Track and Tennis Center. The Terriers boasted two champions in Jeff Moreau (800-meter run) and the 4x800-meter relay team.
Moreau clocked in at one minute, 51.88 seconds in the 800-meter run - .07 faster than the second-place finisher. Also standing atop the podium was the Terriers' 4x800-meter relay team, as it clocked in at 7:38.68.
Turning in impressive finishes was Joel Senick, who placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.76, and Kenneth Haltom, who also took second in the 1,000-meter run in 2:28.07. Senior Eric Ashe took home second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:22.00.
Junior Rich Haigh finished out the weekend in fifth place in the heptathlon, scoring 4,858 points over the two-day competition.
