Men's Track and Field Competes at IC4A Championship

BOSTON - Led by senior Jeff Moreau's sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run, the Boston University men's indoor track and field team competed at the IC4A Championship at the Track and Tennis Center. The Terriers recorded a total of eight too-20 finishes during Saturday and Sunday's competition to finish 44th out of 52 schools.
The reigning America East champion Moreau recorded BU's three points in the competition with a 1:51.47 time, as VMI's Felix Kitur won the race at 1:50.38. Sophomore Balint Horvath missed out on the final by 0.11 seconds at 1:51.69 in the prelims.
In the 3,000-meter run, sophomore Robert Gibson took 11th at 8:20.84. Junior Ken Haltom placed 17th in the 1-mile at 4:09.93. The 4x400 relay team took 12th at 3:14.64, losing a berth to the finals by 0.19 seconds.
BU had two top-15 results in the shot put, led by senior Jan Bicanic's throw of 15.56m for a 11th-place result. Junior Dan Withrow placed 15th at 15.36m.
Junior Rich Haigh competed in the heptathlon, finishing 12th with 4,734 points.
