EASTON, Mass. - The Boston University women's outdoor track and field team won eight events and set four facility records to finish second at the Stonehill Invitational on Saturday. Rhode Island won the title with 191 points with the Terriers finishing second at 146. The host school took third at 133 with Boston College (112), Northeastern (51) and Bentley (34) rounding out the field.
Laura Martin started the day by winning the 100-meter dash and finishing second in the 200m, an event won by teammate Jackie Dim. Kathleen Davies and Andrea Walkonen set facility records to win the 1,500 and 5,000-meter runs, respectively.
After placing second in the 100m hurdles, Allison Barwise finished ahead of Karly Neveu in the high jump. Fiona Romeri won the pole vault, while Lauren Berg won both the shot put and javelin.
The Terriers will next compete at the America East Championships, hosted by New Hampshire on May 1-2.
