Nine Terriers Post IC4A-Qualifying Marks at Terrier Invitational

Terrier Invitational Complete Results | Harvard Multi-Team Meet Results

BOSTON - The men's track and field team competed at the Terrier Invitational at the BU Track and Tennis Center on Saturday with nine Terriers earning IC4A-qualifying marks. Senior Joel Senick was the lone BU winner at the meet as he finished first in the 400m dash (47.65).

Sophomore R.J. Page earned IC4A-qualifying times in two events, including the 60m dash (6.97) and 200m dash (21.76). Junior Tewado Latty placed fifth in the 400m dash (48.09), while freshman Stephen Vitale earned a fifth-place finish in the 500m dash with a time of 1:04.62.

In the mile run, juniors Matt Paulson (4:07.04) and Joe Greenspun (4:10.17) both ran IC4A-qualifying times as they finished third and 13th, respectively. Classmate Billy Whelan ran the 800m run in 1:54.85, while Balint Horvath finished fifth in the 1,000m (2:29.63). Senior Dan Withrow posted an IC4A-qualifying mark in the shot put with a 15.70m throw.

In addition to the nine individual IC4A qualifiers, BU's 4x400m relay team (Vitale, Latty, Senick, junior Matt Pereira) finished second with a qualifying time of 3:14.25.

The men's track & field team will return to action on Friday (Feb. 4) at the Battle of Beantown.
