Cheng Chosen as America East Swimmer of the Week

Sophomore swimmer Kendra Cheng (Franklin, Mass.) was named America East Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Cheng had an impressive weekend, competing in eight total events over two days of competition and winning five of them. Friday against Houston, the Franklin, Mass., native won the 50 backstroke (26.73) and helped the Terriers capture the 400 medley relay. On Saturday against Massachusetts, she won both the 100 (52.49) and 200 (1:52.89) free and anchored the Boston U. team to victory in the 400 free relay.
BU split its two meets over the weekend, as the Terriers dropped a 164.5-135.5 decision to Houston on Friday before a 177-122 victory against Massachusetts on Saturday.
The Terriers will return to the pool on Saturday, Oct. 29, when BU hosts Binghamton at the Competition Pool at 1:30 p.m.
