Barwise, Walton Garner Wins at Valentine Invitational

BOSTON - Junior Shelby Walton and sophomore Allison Barwise picked up one win each as the Boston University women's track & field team competed at the Valentine Invitational at the BU Track & Tennis Center on Friday.
Walton placed first in the 60m dash for her third straight race with a time of 7.64. Barwise claimed the high jump with an ECAC-qualifying mark (1.78m) and also finished fifth in the long jump (5.37m).
BU collected four additional top-10 finishes, including freshman Chelsea Curry's fifth-place finish in the shot put (12.66m). Senior Jen Fleser garnered 10th in the weight throw (14.06m) and sophomores Nikko Brady (8.70) and Catherine Milledge (8.85) finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 60m hurdles.
The Terriers will return to action on Feb. 18-19 for the America East championships at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
