Throwers Compete at Season-Opening Husky Invitational

DEDHAM, Mass. - Members of the Boston University men's and women's track & field teams opened the 2011 outdoor season at Northeastern's Husky Invitational at Solomon Track on Saturday.
On the men's side, both freshman Nat Hinckley and senior Dan Withrow competed in the javelin throw. Hinckley finished 16th (48.02m), while Withrow placed 25th (40.51m).
Freshmen Sarah Dillard and Betsy Bartlett also competed in the javelin on the women's side. Dillard finished in 16th place with a 25.52m throw, and Bartlett placed 18th with a 24.68m throw.
Sophomore Susan Ottey participated in the hammer throw and finished in 22nd place (30.40m).
The track & field teams will return to action on Friday and Saturday (March 25-26) when they compete in the Stanford Invitational.
