
Barwise Wins High Jump at ECAC Championships

BOSTON - Sophomore Allison Barwise won the high jump and junior Shelby Walton and sophomore Nikko Brady shined in multiple events, as the Boston University women's track & field team competed at the ECAC championships at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday and Sunday.
Barwise won the high jump with a 1.80m mark. Brady placed third in the 60m hurdles (8.46) and fifth in the long jump (5.83m), while Walton finished third in the 200m dash (24.03) and fourth in the 60m dash (7.57).
In addition, freshman Chelsea Curry placed ninth in the shot put (13.40m).
During the same time, the men's track & field team competed at the IC4A championships at the Track and Tennis Center.
Latty won 400m dash with a time of 47.34, just two tenths of a second faster than the second-place finisher. Senior Dan Withrow was the other Terrier to place at the championships, as he finished 12th in the shot put (15.49m).
Three other Terriers recorded times in the preliminaries. Senior James Weider ran in the 1,000m sophomore R.J. Page competed in the 200m and freshman Stephen Vitale participated in the 500m.
