FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Despite winning three matches in singles action, the Boston University men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Fairfield on Sunday afternoon. Improving to 10-8, the Stags swept through doubles but needed three sets in each of their three singles wins.
Sophomore Josh Friedman led the Terriers (8-9) with a 7-6, 6-1 victory in the top singles spot. Sophomore Ferdinand Brunet and junior Regis Chang also earned wins in the No. 5 and 6 slots, respectively.
Freshman Jesse Frieder, classmate Jarred Pendleton and junior Michael Kopelman all captured a set but were unable to pull out the third in defeat.
The Terriers will next host Villanova on Friday (April 15) with action set to begin at 3 p.m.
