Track & Field Captures Two Wins at Snowflake Classic

MEDFORD, Mass. - Junior Ceylon Mitchell and freshman Tom Waterman captured two events, as the Boston University men's track & field team competed at Tufts' Snowflake Classic at the Dussault Complex on Saturday.
Mitchell placed first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.58, while Waterman captured the 800-meter run in 1:58.32.
BU secured nine additional top-10 finishes, including junior Matt Pereira's sixth-place finish in the 100m dash (11.14) and eighth-place showing in the 200m dash (22.80). Freshman Brian Leonard placed eighth in the 400m dash (49.45), and junior Colin Lee finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.23.
Sophomore Michael Caputo placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:23.90) and classmate Chris Davis secured a sixth-place finish in the long jump (5.73m).
BU garnered two top-10 finishes in the pole vault, as sophomore Adam Weaver finished second (3.70m) and Peter Rodrigues placed fourth (3.40m).
The Terriers will return to action next week at two meets. BU will head to the Texas Relays on Friday and Saturday (April 8-9) and also send participants to the George Davis Invitational on Saturday.
