PHILADELPHIA - The Boston University track & field teams competed at the three-day Penn Relays at Franklin Field from Thursday to Saturday.
On the men's side, the Terriers' 4x100m and 4x400m relay squads placed third in the IC4A finals. In the 4x100m relay, junior Tewado Latty, senior Joel Senick and sophomores Duran Ward and R.J. Page teamed up for a third-place finish with a time of 41.32.
Page, Latty, freshman Stephen Vitale and Senick later finished third in the 4x400m IC4A final after crossing the finish line in 3:09.49. Vitale also tied for 30th in the 400m hurdles championship with a time of 53.73.
Senior Whitney Ford highlighted the women's side with a fourth-place finish in the women's triple jump eastern final (12.31m). Ford also placed 17th in the long jump eastern final with a 5.48m leap, while sophomore Nikko Brady finished 18th (5.45m).
Brady also competed in the 100m hurdles (13.76), and junior Shelby Walton ran in the 100m dash (11.90). In the 4x100m college final, freshman Janet Mellor, sophomore Catherine Milledge, Ford and Walton secured an 11th-place finish with a time of 46.78.
BU will return to action at the two-day America East championships in Baltimore, Md., beginning on Saturday, May 7.
