BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Boston University track & field teams concluded action at the three-day NCAA East Preliminary Round at Indiana University's Haugh Track & Field Complex on Saturday.
In the final day of preliminary-round competition, sophomore Robert Gibson finished 19th in his 5,000-meter run heat (14:52.38), while the men's 4x400m relay squad was unable to finish.
Three Terriers advanced to the NCAA championships in earlier action. Junior Katie Matthews, who ran in the 5,000m at the indoor championships, qualified in the 10,000m, and sophomore Allison Barwise and senior Whitney Ford advanced in the high jump and triple jump, respectively.
The NCAA outdoor championships will take place June 8-11 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
