Whitney Ford Named Student-Athlete of the Week

After advancing to the NCAA championships in the triple jump, senior Whitney Ford of the Boston University women's track & field team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Needing to finish in the top 12, Ford placed 11th with a 12.57m leap at the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Friday. The senior advanced to the NCAA championships, to be held June 8-11 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, for the first time in her career.

In all, three Terriers qualified for the championship competition. Junior Katie Matthews and sophomore Allison Barwise, who qualified in the 10,000m and high jump, respectively, will join Ford in Des Moines.
