EUGENE, Ore. - Junior Katie Matthews of the Boston University women's track & field team placed 14th in the 10,000-meter final at the USA Track & Field championships at Hayward Field on Thursday evening.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association First-Team All-American capped her season with a personal-record time of 33:11.00. The Rocky Hill, Conn., native was the second collegian to cross the finish line.

Two Terriers will compete on Friday (June 24) when freshmen Rosa Moriello and Stephen Vitale participate in the 5,000-meter run and 400m hurdles, respectively.
