Continuing a three-match homestand, the Boston University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Bryant on Sunday afternoon at the Track and Tennis Center. The Bulldogs won two of three doubles matches and four of the six singles contests for the team victory.
The crucial doubles point came down to a tiebreaker in the No. 2 match, and Bryant came out the victor with a 9-8(5) win over junior Alex Hallenbeck and senior Alex Green.
Senior Michael Kopelman and freshman Emilio Teran claimed BU's two points at No. 2 and 4, respectively, in singles action. Kopelman pulled out a 6-3, 6-3 win over Hart Callahan, and Teran edged Juan Gonzalez, 6-4, 6-4.
In the No. 6 match, senior Bill Kring won the first set, but Bryant's Vidth Huot rallied for a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory and help the Bulldogs improve to 4-5.
Dropping to 0-6, the Terriers will next host Fordham on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m.
