
Men's Tennis Falls to Fordham, 5-2

BOSTON - Concluding a three-match homestand, the Boston University men's tennis team fell to Fordham, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Tennis and Track Center. The Rams won four singles matches and two of three doubles contests to improve to 10-2 on the season, while the Terriers dropped to 0-7.
Sophomore Jesse Frieder and sophomore Emilio Teran started off the day with an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles for the Terriers. They were a tiebreaker away from capturing the doubles point, as Fordham's top duo pulled out an 9-8(4) victory against junior Josh Friedman and senior Michael Kopelman.
During singles action, Teran dropped just four games in a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the No. 4 slot. Junior Alex Hallenbeck won the other match at No. 6 with a 6-2, 1-6, 10-8 win.
The Terriers will next face Connecticut on Friday, March 2, on neutral courts in Haverhill, Mass.
