HAMDEN, Conn. - After losing all three doubles matches, the Boston University men's tennis team captured four of the six singles contests to pull out a 4-3 victory at Quinnipiac on Thursday afternoon.
Senior Regis Chang, senior Michael Kopelman and junior Josh Friedman won in straight sets against the Bobcats (3-6). Facing Quinnipiac's top player, Friedman earned the break points when needed to edge Andrew Weeden, 7-5, 6-4.
Playing at No. 6, Chang won the first set in quick fashion and held off a late charge by Jon Petrini for a 6-2, 7-5 victory. Kopelman defeated Corey Morgenstern, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 3, leaving the Terriers (2-11) in search of one more point for the team victory.
