
Track & Field Competes at the Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas – The Boston University men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at the Texas Relays this past weekend at the University of Texas.
On the men’s side, the 4x400m relay team of junior R.J. Page, junior Stephen Vitale, senior Tewado Latty and senior Joel Senick finished seventh with a time of 3:10.96. In the 4x200m relay, Latty, Page, Senick and senior Matt Pereira earned a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:25.59. Vitale and Page also competed in preliminary events, with Vitale running in the 400m hurdles and Page competing in the 100m dash.
On the women’s side, senior Shelby Walton, junior Catherine Milledge, freshman Gemma Acheampong and junior Julia Mirochnick earned a 13th-place finish in the 4x200 meter relay finals. Junior Allison Barwise placed 16th in the heptathlon with 5014 points.
Terriers that competed in other preliminary events included Walton and Acheampong in the 100m dash, as well as Milledge and junior Nikko Brady in the 100m hurdles.
BU will be in action all across the country next weekend, as the Terriers will have athletes at the Florida Relays (April 6-7), Stanford Invitational (April 6-7) and George Davis Invitational (April 7).
