
Terriers Sweep America East Weekly Track Awards

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Boston University men’s and women’s track & field teams swept the America East weekly track awards, as sophomore Rich Peters and sophomore Monica Adler were each named Track Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Peters (Bristol, England) finished fourth in the 5000m run at the Stanford Invitational this past weekend, completing the race with a time of 13:56.89. With that time, Peters now ranks first in the America East by nearly a minute and is second in the Northeast Region. It was the outdoor debut for Peters, who is coming off of an All-America indoor season in the mile.
Adler (Manchester, Mass.) was at the Florida Relays this past weekend where she turned in a fourth-place finish in the 1500m run, clocking in with a at 4:22.29. It is the top time in the conference so far this season and ranks fifth in the Northeast Region.
Both the men’s and women’s teams will be in action on Saturday at the Brown Invitational in Providence, R.I.
