
Men's Tennis Sweeps Holy Cross, 7-0

BOSTON - Competing in its final home match of the regular season, the Boston University men's tennis team defeated Holy Cross, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Track & Tennis Center. Earning their third sweep of the season, the Terriers improve to 5-12, while the Crusaders drop to 3-8.
The Terriers dropped a total of 14 games in six singles matches after winning the doubles point in convincing fashion.
Freshman Emilio Teran teamed with senior Michael Kopelman for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles and then followed with a dominating 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles. Kopelman coasted at No. 3 singles, dropping just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
Sophomore Jesse Frieder also had a perfect day in the No. 2 slot, while senior Alex Green posted a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles after teaming with junior Josh Friedman for an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Friedman and senior Regis Chang earned the other two points in singles action at No. 1 and 4, respectively. During doubles action, Chang teamed with classmate Bill Kring for an 8-3 victory in the No. 3 spot.
After winning their fifth match in the last seven contests, the Terriers will next conclude the regular season at Army on Saturday (April 21) with action slated to begin at 1 p.m.
