After two first-place finishes at the Skyhawk Invitational, freshman Gemma Acheampong has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Acheampong won the 200m dash (25.84) and was part of a the 4x400m relay team that set a facility record with a time of 3:55.19.
The Waterbury, Conn., native also fared well in the 100m dash, as she placed second with a time of 12.59 seconds.
