PRINCETON, N.J. - Junior R.J. Page of the Boston University men's track & field team won the 200m dash at the Larry Ellis to lead a group of Terriers on Saturday.
Page claimed first with a time of 21.18 seconds. Also on the track, senior Tewado Latty was second in the 400m dash with a mark of 46.98 seconds, while junior Stephen Vitale was fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.37 seconds.
Senior Joe Greenspun also fared well for the Terriers, as he placed third in the 1500m run (3:52.51).
At the MIT Invitational in Cambridge, Mass., sophomore Connor Sullivan won the high jump with a mark of 2.05m. Junior Sam Wuest was second in that event, as he had a mark of 1.96m.
Wuest was also strong in the long jump, as he finished third with a leap of 6.72m. Senior Samuel Arsenault was just ahead of Wuest, as he placed second with a mark of 6.82m.
In other field events, senior Jeff Pelage was second in the discus (48.59m) and the shot put (14.54m). Senior Michael Murowchick placed second in the javelin with a throw of 52.25m. Freshman Nikolaos Farmakidis was fifth in the pole vault (4.20m), while freshman Michael Maloof was fifth in the hammer throw (50.48m).
On the track, the Terriers had five athletes in the top-20 of the 1500m run. Junior Brian Greenfield was sixth (4:06.36), freshman Matt Solomon was ninth (4:07.79), fresman Aaron Somoroff was 11th (4:09.45) and freshman John McKeon was 16th (4:12.90). Junior Brian Leonard placed 11th in the 400m dash.
BU will be back in action next weekend when the Terriers travel to the Penn Relays (April 26-29) and the Brown Springtime Open (April 29).
