
Peters Propels Terriers to Seventh-Place Finish at IC4A Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Boston University men’s track & field team finished seventh at the IC4A Championships held at Princeton University this past weekend.
Sophomore Rich Peters led the Terriers with an outstanding performance in the 1500m run. Peters crossed the finish line first with a time of 3:43.28, over two seconds ahead of his closest competitor. Senior Matt Paulson finished seventh in that event (3:50.62) to also earn points for BU.
Junior R.J. Page had another strong weekend in the sprints, including a second-place showing in the 200m dash (21.18). He also had a fourth-place finish in the 100m dash (10.61). Senior Tewado Latty was second in the 400m dash with a time of 46.82 seconds, while junior Stephen Vitale finished fourth in the 400m hurdles (51.40).
Other competitors in Princeton this past weekend included Joel Senick in the 400m dash (47.79), freshman Stuart Ross (1:52.46) in the 800m run, and senior Jeff Pelage in the discus (47.64m).
The Terriers also had athletes compete at the New England Championships in Cambridge, Mass. Junior Sam Wuest led BU with a fourth-place finish in the high jump (2.00m). Senior Michael Murowchick was 10th in the javelin with a throw of 57.47m, while freshman Nikolaos Farmakidis placed 19th in the pole vault (4.25m).
