
Terriers Compete at IC4A, ECAC Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams competed at the IC4A Championships and ECAC Championships, respectively, this past weekend at Princeton University.
On the men's side, senior Tewado Latty finished second in the 400m dash thanks to a personal- and conference-best time of 46.15 seconds. He now ranks 19th in the nation entering the NCAA Preliminaries.
Graduate student Zachary Ray finished fifth in the 400m hurdles (53.59) and just missed qualifying for the final of the 110m hurdles (14.27). Junior Stephen Vitale (53.65) also competed in the 400m hurdles. Senior R.J. Page was the top qualifier in the 100m dash with a time of 10.63 seconds.
On the women's side, senior Nikko Brady was sixth in the preliminaries (13.96) and had the second-fastest time in the semifinals (13.83) of the 100m hurdles. Sophomore Gemma Acheampong advanced to the semifinals of the 100m dash with a preliminary time of 11.99 seconds while classmate Tessa Runels competed in the triple jump (11.41m).
After a weekend off, several Terriers will compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries May 23-25.
