INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Nikko Brady and graduate student Katie Matthews of the Boston University women's track and field team each qualified for the 2013 NCAA Division I Women's Track and Field Preliminary Championships, the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee announced on Thursday.
Brady will compete in the 100m hurdles while Matthews will take aim at the 10,000m run. This will be Brady's first appearance at the East prelims since 2011, when she qualified in the 100m hurdles for the first time.
Matthews, a two-time All-American during the indoor season, also last competed at the East prelims in 2011. She advanced to the national final of the 10,000m run that year and finished eighth to earn an All-America selection.
Start lists for next week's meet will be available on Tuesday, May 21.
