
Three Terriers Advance to NCAA Quarterfinals

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Tewado Latty, junior Rich Peters and graduate student Zachary Ray each advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in their respective events at the 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Track and Field Preliminary Championships on Thursday night at North Carolina A&T.
Latty finished third in his heat of the 400m dash with a time of 46.64 seconds to automatically qualify for the quarterfinals. He will next compete on Friday night at 6:15 p.m.
Peters earned an automatic place in the quarterfinals thanks to a third-place finish in his heat of the 1,500m run. He had a time of 3:47.88 in a tightly contested race and will compete in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 6:45 p.m.
Ray ran the 400m hurdles in 51.45 seconds to finish second in his heat and automatically qualify for the quarterfinals. He will be back in action on Friday night at 7:45 p.m.
Senior R.J. Page will take to the track on Friday night as the prelims of the 200m dash begin at 8:25 p.m. In addition to the quarterfinals of the 400m hurdles, Ray will also compete in the prelims of the 110m hurdles at 5:30 p.m.
