
Three Terriers Earn PL Weekly Awards

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Boston University men's and women's track and field teams won three Patriot League weekly awards, the conference announced on Monday.
On the men’s side, senior Cameron Williams won Patriot League Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and freshman Cameron Nurse was named Rookie of the Week. For the women, senior Gemma Acheampong was named Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
On Saturday, Williams won the 200-meter dash at the BU Season Opener with a time of 21.20 while also setting a school indoor record.
Nurse, making his collegiate debut, placed fourth place in the 200-meter dash with an IC4A qualifying time of 21.99.
Also at the BU Season Opener, Acheampong began her senior campaign by winning the 60-meter dash in an indoor school-record time of 7.49.
The Terriers will be back in action on Jan. 22 at the Track & Tennis Center in the Four-Way Meet.
