
Men's Tennis Rolls Past UConn, 7-0

BOSTON - For the second consecutive match, the Boston University men's tennis team put on a dominating performance with a 7-0 sweep over Connecticut at the BU Track & Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.
Avenging last fall's one-point loss to the Huskies (3-5), the Terriers improve to 3-4 in dual season action.
BU dropped a combined five games in the three doubles contests to earn the first point. Senior Chanon Varapongsittikul led the Terriers at the top singles slot with a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Sophomore Stefan Lemire dropped the fewest games at No. 3 in a 6-1, 6-1 win, while freshman Jake De Vries coasted to a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 6.
Senior Jesse Frieder (#2), freshman Mario Sandoval (#4) and junior Emilio Teran (#5) also collected wins.
The Terriers will return to action on Sunday (Feb. 23) when they host fellow Patriot League member Lafayette at 10 a.m. They will then make a short trip over to No. 24 Harvard at 4 p.m.
