After winning three singles matches and a doubles contest over the weekend, Boston University women's tennis sophomore Lauren Davis has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
With her help, the Terriers defeated Quinnipiac (7-0) and Georgetown (5-1). They also dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Dartmouth after being swept by the Big Green in 2012.
Ranked No. 17 in the northeast region by the ITA, Davis dropped just one game against Quinnipiac's Jacqueline Raynor and teamed with freshman Barbara Rodriguez for a 6-3 doubles victory.
She then rallied from a set down to stun Dartmouth's fifth-ranked Taylor Ng, 3-6, 6-3, 10-5. In her final singles match of the weekend, she rolled past Georgetown's Kelly Comolli, 6-2, 6-2.
With her performance, Davis now owns a team-high 10 singles victories and is a perfect 4-0 to start the dual season.
