
Men's Track & Field Takes Part in Snowflake Classic

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Boston University men’s track & field team competed at the Snowflake Classic hosted by Tufts University on Saturday at Dussault Track.
Sophomore Paul Gennaro finished fourth (15:14.73) and freshman Mitch Russo was eighth (15:29.74) in the 5,000m run. Sophomore Syian Srikumar (15:54.23) also had a top-15 finish in that event. Freshman Bruce Greene had time of 11.36 seconds in the 100m dash and 23.09 seconds in the 200m dash. Junior Alex Civitano was ninth in the 1,500m run (4:02.01) while freshman Mike Ward (4:09.68) and junior John McKeon (4:10.01) also competed in that event.
Freshman Tyler Malone secured second in the triple jump (13.15m) and finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.37 meters. Classmate Sebastian Prieto Vasquez was fourth in the discus (37.72m), with freshman James Barnett (31.62m) and sophomore Young Guang (28.49m) also competing in that event. Devon Lattrell (46.98m) and Nat Hinckley (46.59m) were seventh and eighth, respectively, in the javelin. Prieto Vasquez also competed in the shot put (11.73m) and the javelin (41.96m).
BU will be back in action next weekend at the Florida Relays and the Stanford Invitational.
