
Terriers Collect Patriot League Weekly Awards

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Seniors Nikko Brady and Hannah Wiley of the Boston University women's track & field team joined freshman Cameron Williams of the men's track & field team each earned Patriot League weekly awards, the conference announced on Monday.
Brady earned Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week honors, her first such weekly award this season. She was sensational at the 120th Penn Relays, highlighted by her first-place performance in the Eastern section of the long jump. The New Castle, Del., native had a mark of 6.21 meters, which is a personal best and the second-best jump in program history. Brady also had a season-best time of 13.84 seconds in the 100m hurdles and was part of the 4x100m relay team.
Wiley was selected as Patriot League Female Track Athlete of the Week after she shined at the Penn Relays. She was part of the 4x400m relay team that broke its own school record with a time of 3:38.77. Wiley also had a top-20 finish in the 400m hurdles with a mark of 1:00.69. The Gorham, Maine, native is the third Terrier to earn the Patriot League Female Track Athlete of the Week award in the outdoor season, and claims the fifth honor total in six weeks for BU.
Williams helped the Terriers take second place at the Skyhawk Invitational on Friday after two terrific performances on the track. He won the 200m dash with a time of 21.92 seconds and finished second in the 100m dash with a personal-best mark of 11.06 seconds. This is the first Patriot League weekly award for Williams.
All three Terriers will be in action this weekend at the Patriot League Championships hosted by Navy on Friday and Saturday (May 2-3). The women's team is the reigning indoor champion and the men will look to improve on their fourth-place finish at the indoor meet.
