Five Terriers Qualify for NCAA East Prelims
INDIANAPOLIS - Freshman Toria Levy of the Boston University women's track & field team has been accepted into the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships, as announced on Monday.
Levy will join five other Terrier women at the meet, which will take place May 29-31 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. The freshman sprinter is slated to compete in the 400m hurdles; her top time in that event is 59.78 seconds, set at the Raleigh Relays. Levy was named Patriot League Rookie of the Meet at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships after she placed second in the 100m hurdles with a personal-best time of 14.06 seconds and was also third in the 400m hurdles (1:00.95).
The Weston, Florida, native will compete with Gemma Acheampong, Monica Adler, Allison Barwise, Nikko Brady and Rosa Moriello at the prelims. Start lists for the meet will be available on Tuesday, May 27.
