
Terriers Begin Indoor Season at BU Opener

BOSTON - Junior Jordan Love set personal bests in both the 60m dash and 200m dash to lead the Boston University track & field team at the BU Opener on Saturday at the Track & Tennis Center.
Love won the 200m dash in 21.61 seconds and had the top qualifying time for the final of the 60m dash with a time of 6.90 seconds. He later finished third in the final (6.92). Classmate Cameron Nurse finished sixth in the 60m final (7.01) after running fourth in qualifying (7.00). Sophomore Aidan Ryan (7.64) also took part in Saturday's 60m dash and competed in the long jump (5.82m) as well.
David Oluwadara opened his senior season with a victory in the triple jump (15.27m). In other field events, freshman Clint Lockwood made his collegiate debut in the shot put (13.68m) and the weight throw (12.41m). Jason Biesma (11.33m) also competed in the shot put, while senior Brian Shaeffer competed in the pole vault (4.20m)
Junior Conrad Rousseau finished eighth in the 500m dash (1:09.06) while sophomore Matthew Adams competed in in the 200m dash (26.02). Two Terriers - junior Peter Katsarakes (34.97) and freshman Jamin Harris (35.30) were in the top 20 of the 300m dash.
BU will resume its indoor season on Jan. 19, 2017, when the Terriers host the Multi-Team Meet at the TTC.
