Cross Country Teams Announce 2016 Schedules
August 16, 2016 | Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country
Men's Schedule | Women's Schedule
BOSTON - The Boston University men's and women's cross country teams have each announced their 2016 schedule. Both squads will race three times prior to the Patriot League Championships in October.
BU will begin is 2016 campaign on Sept. 10 at the Nassaney Invitational hosted by Bryant before taking nearly a month off from competition. The Terriers will return on Oct. 8 when they run the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston. The men's team will look to defend its team title from a year ago in that event.
On Oct. 21, BU will head to New Britain, Connecticut, for the CCSU Mini Meet. That will be the Terriers' final tune-up before the Patriot League Championships, hosted this year by Lafayette on Oct. 29. BU will then compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional in Buffalo, New York on Nov. 11. Should any Terrier harriers qualify, they will race at the NCAA Championships on Nov. 19 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The men's squad returns 11 letter winners this season, including Patriot League Rookie of the Year Alexander Seal. For the women, 21 letter winners from last year will return to the squad, including three top-25 finishers at the 2015 Patriot League Championship.
