"My staff and I are happy to welcome Karilyn to our staff," Durocher said. "She has gained tremendous experience via her duties at St. Anslem under the direction of Kerstin Matthews. As an alum and former student-athlete at Boston University, she will bring a wealth of knowledge for this institution and our program."

In her new role at BU, Pilch will be help with the day-to-day operations of the program, including video breakdown and team travel. A former Terrier goaltender, Pilch won three games during the inaugural season of 2005-06.

The Terriers will host Whitby on Saturday in an exhibition contest before welcoming Providence to Walter Brown Arena for the regular-season opener on Sunday. Both contests are set for 3 p.m.
