AMHERST, Mass. - Trevor Winans broke the Rogers Pool record in the 100 free with a time of 45.51 and tallied three victories, but the Boston University men's swimming and diving team suffered its first loss of the season in a 154-144 decision Saturday afternoon at UMass.

Winans also picked up victories in the 200 and 500 free. Garrett Chin matched Winans with three first-place finishes on the day, taking the 200 fly, 200 back and 200 yard IM.

BU will return to the pool as it hosts the Terrier Invitational Nov. 17-19 at Competition Pool.
