Terriers End Spring Break Trip with 8-1 Loss at Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Participating in its third match in four days, the Boston University men's tennis team fell at Lynn University, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Knights entered the contest ranked eighth in the ITA's NCAA Division II national rankings.

- Using NCAA Division II rules in which each doubles match counts as a point, the Fighting Knights jumped out to a 2-1 lead.
- Lynn posted an 8-3 victory at line 1 doubles and then edged the freshmen duo of Marc Sable and J.P. Avila, 8-6, in the No. 3 slot.
- Seniors Jake De Vries and Mario Sandoval prevented the sweep by claiming an 8-3 victory at line 2.
- The Fighting Knights captured all six singles points in straight sets.
- .Senior Lucas Bombonatti (#1) and sophomore Satyajit Simhadri (#3) won the most games for the Terriers at six apiece in their respective match.
- After spending a week in Florida for spring break, the Terriers will return home and host Sacred Heart Sunday (March 19) at 3 p.m.
- The contest will mark senior day for Bombonatti, De Vries, Sandoval, Miguel Cepeda and Jay Leelavanich.
