BOSTON – After recognizing its five seniors, the Boston University men's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday afternoon at the BU Track & Tennis Center.

- The senior class (Lucas Bombonatti, Miguel Cepeda, Jake De Vries, Jay Leelavanich and Mario Sandoval) had a hand in six of the nine victories today.
- BU swept through doubles by a combined score of 19-10 and claimed all six singles points in straight sets.
- De Vries and Sandoval teamed together for a 6-2 win at line 2 in doubles, while Bombonatti and sophomore Satyajit Simhadri posted a 6-3 victory in the top slot.
- Cepeda and Leelavanich completed the doubles sweep by edging the Pioneers, 7-5, at line 3.
- Bombonatti (#1), Leelavanich (#2), Simhadri (#3) and Sandoval dropped a combined 11 games in the top four singles lines.
- Freshman J.P. Avila had a nearly perfect match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at line 6, while classmate Marc Sable earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5.
- The Terriers will head to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. next weekend for a pair of matches.
- BU will first face Villanova on Saturday (March 25) at 1:30 p.m. and then Marist on Sunday (March 26) at 11 a.m.
