Terriers Claim 5-2 Win at Bryant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Snapping a four-match losing streak, the Boston University men's tennis team claimed five singles points in straight sets to claim a 5-2 win at Bryant on Friday afternoon. The victory also helped the Terriers avenge an earlier 6-1 home loss to the Bulldogs back in February.

- Freshmen J.P. Avila and March Sable teamed for a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles, but Bryant claimed a 6-1 victory at No. 2 to put the doubles point up for grabs.
- The Bulldogs edged senior Lucas Bombonatti and sophomore Satyajit Simhadri, 7-6, in the top slot to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
- Bombonatti (#1), Simhadri (#2), senior Mario Sandoval (#3), Sable (#4) and Avila (#5) all won their respective singles match in straight sets.
- Both Simhadri and Avila dropped the fewest games at five apiece.
- Bryant avoided being swept in singles by rally to defeat senior Miguel Cepeda at line 6 with a 1-6, 6-4, 10-4 win.
- The Terriers will wrap up the regular season by facing Colgate on Sunday (April 16) at Harvard with doubles action slated to begin at 12 p.m.
