BU Tops American, Falls to Army, George Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. - Contending on the road for the first time in two months, The Boston University men's swimming and diving team topped American and fell to Army West Point and host George Mason Saturday afternoon at Jim McKay Natatorium.
BU posted its most convincing win of the season against the Eagles (232-53), but succumbed to Army West Point (196-97) and George Mason (170-128).
Garrett Chin paced the Terriers with a pair of victories in the 200 back and 200 IM, while also nabbing second place in the 100 back.
Tommy Hagerty also topped the podium, winning the 1000 free for the second week in-a-row.
BU's 400 free relay team of Trevor Winans, Judson Balding, Matt Traub and Jake Goroshko capped the meet with a first-place finish.
The Terriers will remain on the road as they head to Boston College on Saturday, Jan. 27 for their final dual meet of the season.
