Kellar Repeats as Patriot League Rookie of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - For the second straight week, freshman Jessica Kellar of the Boston University women's cross country team was selected as Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Kellar continued her stellar debut season this past Saturday with a 36th-place performance at the Paul Short Run. She crossed the finish line with a time of 22:40, the second-fastest effort from a freshman in that race. Her effort helped BU finish third as a team, just one point out of second place.
A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Kellar was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Sept. 25 after she took 29th at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown with a personal-best 5K time of 17:52.2.
BU will return to Franklin Park on Saturday, Oct. 6, when the Terriers compete in the New England Championships.
