The Boston University men's lacrosse team will conclude a three-game road stretch on Saturday afternoon at Lafayette. Game time is set for 1 p.m.

LOOKING BACK AT LAST YEAR

  • BU trailed Lafayette, 4-3, after the first quarter, but the Terriers outscored the Leopards, 7-0, in the second quarter en route to a 15-7 win at Nickerson Field last March.
  • Jack Wilson (2g, 1a), Ryan Hilburn (1g, 2a) and John MacLean (3g) each tallied three points while Brendan Homire, Chase Levesque and Hayden Ruiz also found the back of the net.
  • Joe Stucky went 14-of-23 at the faceoff X with 11 ground balls.
  • Levesque and Brian Badgett each forced two turnovers and combined for three ground balls.

SCOUTING THE LEOPARDS

  • Lafayette is 2-7 overall and 0-4 in the Patriot League, having lost six straight games overall since a win over Wagner on Feb. 16.
  • The Leopards have been outscored, 122-68, this season.
  • Conor Walters leads the Leopards in goals (16), assists (13) and points (29) this season.
  • Will McCarthy (10g, 9a) and John Natoli (8g, 2a) are the only other Lafayette players with double-digit point totals.
  • Chris Adamo has gathered a team-high 42 ground balls and is second on the squad with eight caused turnovers, trailing only Jack Lydon, who has forced 11 giveaways this year.
  • Gabe Smithline is 41-of-76 at the faceoff X with 15 ground balls while John Becker has gone 64-of-131 and recorded 22 ground balls.
  • Jonathan Anastos has started all nine games in the cage for the Leopards, posting a 13.69 goals-against average and a .428 save percentage.

HISTORY WITH LAFAYETTE

  • BU is a perfect 4-0 against Lafayette, a record that includes the program's inaugural win in 2014.
  • The Terriers have averaged 15.0 goals per game against Lafayette and have allowed an average of just 7.0 goals per game.
  • BU has never trailed by more than two goals and Lafayette has only had a two-goal lead just once over the last four years.

CAREER DAY FOR CHRIS GRAY

  • Just three days after matching the program record for points with seven at Bucknell, freshman Chris Gray posted another record-setting effort at Harvard.
  • Gray set new school standards with eight assists and 10 total points against the Crimson, with one of his two goals also coming in at No. 6 on SportsCenter's Top Plays that night.
  • His eight assists is also a single-game high in the NCAA this year.
  • The previous single-game assists record was set by Cal Dearth on April 17, 2015.
  • Gray was one assist shy of the single-game Patriot League record of nine.

ONE OF THE BEST ROOKIES IN THE NATION

  • Freshman Chris Gray has been outstanding all season for the Terriers.
  • He has tallied a point in each of his first nine collegiate contests, and Gray has also recorded at least four points six times.
  • Gray leads all NCAA freshmen in both points (41) and assists (25), and he leads BU in both categories.
  • He is fourth in the country in assists and seventh overall in points.

BURR KEEPS SCORING

  • Junior James Burr leads the Terriers and is tied for seventh in the nation with 24 goals.
  • Burr is second in the Patriot League in total goals.
  • His five goals and six points at Harvard matched his career high in both categories.
  • Burr also tallied five goals and one assist at Air Force on March 3.
  • The Hamilton, Massachusetts, native has tallied at least one goal in every game and at least two goals in eight of the Terriers' nine contests.
  • Burr has added seven assists for 31 points, which is good for second on the squad.

NEXT UP: LAX-A-PALOOZA

  • BU will return home to Nickerson Field or its annual Lax-A-Palooza contest on Saturday, March 31.
  • The Terriers will host Lehigh at 3:30 in the second game of a doubleheader with the women's lacrosse team.
