Georgetown Holds Off Men's Tennis, 4-2

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Despite winning the top two singles matches, the Boston University men's tennis team fell to Georgetown, 4-2, on Saturday evening at Navy's Tose Family Tennis Center.
The Hoyas (4-5) won the first two doubles matches and then captured three singles points in straight sets, as the Terriers fell to 7-9 on the season.

- The Hoyas claimed a 6-1 win at line 1 in doubles and then broke late for a 7-5 victory against freshmen Owen Lu and Ethan Kolsky in the No. 3 slot.
- Lu rebounded by holding off two-time All-Big East honoree Peter Beatty in a thrilling 7-6, 4-6, 10-8 win in the top singles spot.
- Freshman David Bogatin rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 singles win in the No. 2 slot for the Terriers' first point.
- Georgetown won at lines 3-5 in straight sets with freshman Pedro Gutierrez (#3) coming up just short in a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6(5) loss.
- The Terriers will remain in Annapolis and open the Patriot League schedule against Navy at 10 a.m.
- The Midshipmen reached the 2017 Patriot League final after falling to the Terriers (5-2) during the regular season.
